Pike Creek matured for ten cold winters before it developed its full aroma. Unair-conditioned warehouses and an extremely fluctuating climate allow the casks to breathe particularly strongly. To further intensify its character, the whisky was post-matured in rum casks.

Wo Rumfass draufsteht, ist Rumfass drin. Das ist leider nicht mein Geschmack. Der Whiskey ist ok, aber nicht meins, daher ohne Sternebewertung.

Abgang:
Kommentar: Ein solider Whisky aus Kanada, gekauft, um über den “schottischen Tellerrand” hinaus zu schmecken.
Nach dieser Erfahrung ging es wieder zurück zum Scotch.

Geschmack: rum und irgendwie junger burbon
Abgang: süss und etwas länger mit leichter ingwerwärne
Es schmeckt so, als hätte jemand eine 50/50 Mischung kanadischen Whisky und Barbadosrum erzeugt... und im Grunde ist es das ;-)
