Product description
This Oban from the distillery on the border between the Highlands and Islands was bottled for the 2024 Special Releases. Under the motto 'what if' in the Spirited Xchange Second Edition, the bottlings represent whisky craftsmanship combined with a high degree of creativity. Different flavours are presented through different and special cask compositions. The special releases guide tasters, whisky fans and single malt collectors through rare bottlings, rich flavour profiles and their own imagination. The 10-year-old matured in American oak refill casks and was partly finished in new, freshly burnt American oak casks pre-treated with Oloroso.

Seit 2022 ist Oban auch ein Pflichkauf der Special Release Abfüllung geworden. Geglücktes Experiment kann man nur sagen.

Exzellenter Oban in Fassstärke, das Rum Casc Finish fügt dem von Natur aus bereits Komplexen Oban viele neue Schichten hinzu. Sehr Teuer, aber verdammt noch mal sein Geld Wert. Einziger Wehrmutstropfen - vermutlich chill Filtered, vielleicht auch ein Klecks Farbe.

Geschmack: Cremig, glatt und voluminös mit süßen Facetten von Orange und Zitrone, eine Spur cremige Vanille sowie ein Haus Meersalt folgen mit pfeffrigen Noten und einer holzigen Würze.
Abgang: Mittellang mit einer sanften, warmen Würze. Mit einem Spritzer Wasser kommt sogar noch Würzigkeit hinzu und der Nachgeschmack wird trockener.
