At MacNair's, exploration takes centre stage, especially when it comes to rum. Master blender Billy Walker selects barrels from the Glenallachie Distillery in which he and his team blend and bottle this molasses rum. The MacNairs Exploration Panama Rum - Peated is made from sugar cane molasses in Panama and is initially matured in American oak barrels. After around 2 years in the tropical climate of Panama, it is transferred to Scotland in Speyside. There, the rum undergoes a second maturation phase in ex-whisky casks that were previously filled with smoky Glenallachie whisky. In addition, no artificial colourings are used and no chill filtration is used.
