Product description

The Islay Rum Geal Pure Single Rum is inspired by the distillation methods used in the Caribbean. Copper Pot Stills and Double Retort Stills are used in the old Lemonade Factory of Port Ellen. The unaged rum is reminiscent of distillates from Haiti, Jamaica and the French Antilles, but with a Scottish twist. Just like the Taste, the name is also Scottish. Geal' can be translated as white, colour of light or pure, just as the distillate presents itself in the bottle.
