Scottish tradition meets Caribbean joie de vivre in this Glenfiddich. This Glenfiddich, post-matured in rum casks, shows a beautiful combination of whisky and rum. 21-year-old malts matured in oak casks are stored again for about four months in casks that previously held rum.

Glenfiddich is Scotland's best-known and most successful distillery. It is located in the heart of Speyside, in Dufftown to be precise. Also known as "The Giant", it has an impressive annual production capacity of 21 million litres. No other Single Malt is as popular worldwide. Glenfiddich Whiskies are usually matured in small Ex-Bourbon casks made from mild American white oak. Spannend, und definitiv die beste Rum - Nachreifung die ich getrunken habe, ich vermute dass die relativ kurze Nachreifung bei einem 21 y Malt genau richtig ist und nicht zu extrem draufdrückt. Tropisch-fruchtig süß in der Nase und anfangs auch im Geschmack, dann kommt das hohe Alter zum tragen. Die weit verbesserte Version des Fire & Cane von Glenfiddich, ohne Rauch natürlich…
