Product description
The 18-year-old Glen Grant is matured in bourbon casks as well as in processed hogsheads.
Major' James Grant Junior inherited the Glen Grant distillery from his father in 1872 and had big plans for it. At the age of 25, enthusiastic about the subject of technology, he specially designed new, tall and narrow stills and the then unique water coolers and filters.

Aroma:
Sehr fruchtig süß, viele helle Früchte, Mangos, etwas Nüsse, leicht süß, cremig, etwas Honig und eine Art Wachs

Geschmack:
schöner fruchtiger Antritt, ein richtiger Fruchtcocktail, auch hier wieder der Honig und das Wachs. Cremig. Hinzu gesellen sich zarte Eiche Noten mit etwas Pfeffer. Sehr lecker

Abgang:
schöner fruchtiger Abgang. Cremig und leicht süß. Etwas Nüsse, Mango und Zitrusfrüchte

Kommentar:
schöner fruchtiger Whisky. Der gefällt mir recht gut. Sehr angenehm zu trinken. Wirkt sehr harmonisch

Kommentar: Deutlich spürbare lange Bourboneinflüsse, gut gereifter, aber bei weitem nicht überragender Speysider. Fruchtig-leicht-elegant und durchaus lecker. Seinen Preis aber eindeutig nicht wert. Deutlich "schwächer" als Glenfarclas, Glenfiddich oder Glenlivet 18yo
Es bleibt bei 4 Sternen mit Tendenz nach 4,2
