The 12 year old Barbaresco Cask was matured by Edradour in origin-protected red wine casks from Piedmont. The limited edition Single Malt Whisky creation was bottled in 2023 neither coloured nor chill-filtered.

Near the Edradour distillery lie the ruins of the Lindores Ruins. This is the birthplace of Aquavite (water of life) that later became the Whisky we know. Edradour is one of the smallest distilleries in Scotland.

Kommentar: Am Anfang etwas verhalten, aber nach etwas Stehzeit öffnet sich der Whisky und entpuppt sich als vielschichtiger, komplexer Tropfen. Nichts für jeden Tag und nichts, was man nebenbei trinkt, sondern etwas für gemütliche Abende an denen man Zeit hat sich mit dem Dram im Glas zu befassen.
