Product description

This special edition was created exclusively for the whisky festival 'Fèis Ìle 2022'. The characterful whisky matured for two decades (since 1998) on the coast of Islay before spending two more years in casks previously filled with French Calvados. The distillation process, in which only lightly peated and malted barley is blended, and the remote location, where very pure spring water rises from the Margadale spring, set this whisky apart from the 8 other distilleries on the island in terms of taste.

The Distillery: Bunnahabhain

Bunnahabhain means 'river mouth' translated from Gaelic. The distillery is the northernmost on the island of Islay and is located about three kilometres from Port Askaig. It was built by the Greenless Brothers in 1881. read more
