Tomatin now offers several blends under the Antiquary brand. The youngest malt and grain portions are 15 years old. This premium blend matured in Bordeaux red wine barrels until it reached perfection. The blend is bottled in the typical bottle shape reminiscent of a crystal, at 43% vol.

Aroma: Viele Früchte (Zitrone, Melone, Saftorange, etc.) feine Holznoten bzw. Tannine. Karamell, Nüße und Gewürze gesellen sich auch dazu.
Geschmack: Tief, stark und wuchtig: Aprikosen, Nüße, Mandeln mit schweren Marzipan oder Zartbitterschokolade.
Abgang: Lang: Schwere Weintannine mit herben Schoko oder Kakao-Noten.
Kommentar: Mein erster Antiquary und was soll ich sagen bzw. schreiben: Erfüllt, ja er übertrifft meine Erwartungen sogar! Komplexität durch gute Malts/Grains, Alter, Fassreifung und Historie! Preis/Leistung sehr gut. Schade das er limitiert ist. Sollte ins Kersortiment wechseln. Freue mich schon auf den 12er und 21er.
