For Edition 63, sugar cane is distilled and blended by the Destilerias Aldea in La Palma. Due to the following long crossing from La Palma to Amsterdam, the barrels on board the sailing ship are exposed to additional weather conditions, different temperatures and the sea, which gives the maturation and the rum itself very special, additional flavours and makes it so special.
