At MacNair's, exploration takes centre stage, especially when it comes to rum. Master blender Billy Walker selects barrels from the Glenallachie Distillery in which he and his team blend and bottle this molasses rum. MacNairs Exploration Jamaica Rum Peated is made from high-quality molasses from sugar cane at the Clarendon Distillery in Jamaica. The rum was first bottled in a blend of American and French oak at 86% vol. and left to rest for 30 months. After the rum was expertly married and reduced to 69% alcohol by volume, it was given a second maturation in barrels previously filled with smoky spirit from the Glenallachie distillery. In addition, no artificial colourings are used and no chill filtration is used.
