The Chinese Goalong Small Batch Single Malt Whisky was selected and combined from 5 different casks. Whiskey casks from Tennessee, American bourbon casks, wine casks, sherry casks and Chinese brandy casks give this small batch bottling a rich flavour with sweet notes of cream, vanilla and honey. All Goalong single malts are produced in the Chinese Goalong Distillery. Founded in 2017 (following the establishment of the Goalong brand in 2011), the Goalong Distillery is located in the canyon basin of the Liuyang River and is surrounded by high mountains. The Liuyang River flows about 2.5 kilometres to the south, while the Luoxiao Mountains extend to the north and the Lianyun Mountains to the south, culminating in the majestic Dawei Mountain with an altitude of 1,608 metres. With 99% forest cover, the site has seasonal mists that seep through ancient shale rock, giving the water a pure, natural sweetness. The Goalong Small Batch Whisky was bottled without chill-filtering and without the addition of colour.

Herstellerbeschreibungon 02.08.2024Aroma: Reichhaltig mit fruchtigen Facetten, Honigmarmelade-Rosinen und süßen Malznoten. Verflochten mit weichem und subtilem blumigem, leicht holzigem Aroma mit Vanille.
Geschmack: Süß, rein, sanft und leicht zu trinken. Ausbalanciert mit Anklängen von Vanille, Nektar und Akzenten von frischen Früchten und einer leichten Süße.
Abgang: Mittellang, zum Ende hin sehr mild und fruchtig mit Spuren von Vanille.

Ein frischer, fruchtiger Whisky, dem allerdings noch ein bis zwei Jahre im Fass gut tun würde. War mein erster chinesischer Whisky, das Preis - Leistungsverhältnis stimmt nicht wirklich (zu teuer)
