This Single Malt is inspired by the Victorian era, when pubs (short for public house) had their first heyday. James Eadie was a businessman, farmer and owner of more than 200 pubs. The great-great-grandson of the entrepreneur created the James Eadie brand and operates as an independent bottler. With his small batch whiskies from all regions of Scotland, he creates cask finishes and single cask releases in very limited quantities and varied designs. This 9-year-old Benrinnes whisky matured in first fill Bourbon hogsheads and refill hogsheads before being bottled without chill-filtration or colouring. The Maid of the Mill Inn, acquired by James Eadie on 9 December 1888, is the inspiration for this intense and heavy single malt whisky.
