The Bacardí company was originally founded in 1862 by Don Facundo Bacardí Massó in Santiago de Cuba. Further production sites were added in Mexico and Puerto Rico from 1930. Casa Bacardí in Cataño, Puerto Rico is now the largest Rum distillery in the world.

5 Sterne! Warum? Weil ich sehr positiv überrascht wurde! Ich hab um Standard-Bacardi seit über 20 Jahren einen Bogen gemacht, und mich zuletzt dann doch mal an den 4 ãnos gewagt. Der ist denke ich perfekt zum mixen, pur ist er genießbar aber nicht wirklich toll. Aber der 8er legt nochmal ne ordentliche Schippe drauf, nur in der Nase bekommt man nochmal eine alkoholische Note mit, zu allem was sonst süß-fruchtig ist, aber im Geschmack ist er süß, würzig, kurz pfeffrig-scharf, dunkelfruchtig, viel Karamell, Banane dazwischen, kräftige Eiche kommt durch, aber nie trocken werdend, recht komplex. Weit besser als der Havanna Club 7 y! Zudem ein mehr als passables PLV!
