This Clynelish single malt is part of Signatory Vintage's Cask Strength Collection, which was created as Symington's Choice by Andrew W. Symington. Signatory has been one of Scotland's most successful independent bottlers for 35 years. Symington and his team have always sought out rare whisky casks. These are from distilleries that have already closed, sought-after single malts from distilleries that no longer release casks, or from distilleries that do not release whiskies under their own name. This 28-year-old whisky from the Highland-based Clynelish distillery matured exclusively in a single Oloroso sherry butt.

The Distillery: Clynelish

The new Clynelish Distillery on the east coast of Scotland was only established in 1967. It is located on the same premises as the original "Old Clynelish Distillery", which in turn had been mothballed and was reopened for a short period of time under the name of "Brora". read more

Aroma: Weihnachtliche Gewürznoten und süßlich-würzige Sherry-Facetten verbinden sich mit pfeffrigen Akzenten roter Früchte.

Geschmack: Zähflüssig und durchzogen von dunklen Früchten mit würzigen Noten und etwas Honig.

Abgang: Langanhaltend, komplex, dazu feine Ledernoten und wärmende, süßliche Sherrytöne.
