Rhum JM distillery

The Rhum J.M Canopée Agricole Hors d'Âge from the distillery, which was founded in 1845, is a cuvée of six-year-old rums that are processed into a popular rum. Untreated sugar cane was pressed directly after the harvest and distilled on French-style column stills (créole). The Rhum Agricole then matured in oak barrels in the tropical climate of Martinique. Rhum J.M is one of the oldest producers of Rhum Agricole on the island of Martinique, which is part of the Lesser Antilles. The distillery is located at the foot of the Mont-Pelée volcano. The prevailing rugged landscape and lush vegetation provide ideal conditions for the cultivation of high-quality sugar cane.

The Rhum J.M La Dame Jeanne N.2 Très Vieux Agricole is one of the oldest Rhum Agricole productions on the island of Martinique, which belongs to the Lesser Antilles. The distillery is located at the foot of the Mont-Pelée volcano. The prevailing rugged landscape and lush vegetation provide ideal conditions for the cultivation of high-quality sugar cane. This bottling is a combination of 8 to 22-year-old rhums, some of which matured in ex-bourbon barrels, some in charred, fresh American oak barrels and in French oak barrels pre-matured with wine in the tropical climate of Martinique. The design of the bottle is reminiscent of the pear-shaped glass containers called "Dame Jeanne", which were used for the storage and transport of rum, from which the bottling takes its name. Bottled at cask strength.

Terroir Volcanique is a rhum vieux agricole distilled on Créole column stills and aged in American oak barrels charred to varying degrees.

Of these, it spent 5 years in re-burnt Bourbon barrels before resting for a further year in different sized and burnt casks.

This is followed by a resting phase in stainless steel tanks and then the rum is matured for three years in bourbon barrels that have been burnt out again and for a further year in American oak barrels.

Rum made from 100% sugar cane juice forms the basis for this orange-rum liqueur. Peels of bitter oranges and various spices are added and, after maceration, stored for a short time in oak barrels. In the last production step, pure sugar cane syrup is added to turn the rum into a liqueur.
