Description du produit
Timorous Beastie is a Blended Malt from Douglas Laing. It was named after the shy mouse immortalised by the Scottish poet Robert Burns in his poem 'To a Mouse'.
Single casks from the Strathearn distillery were used for the Blended Malt. The finish in port casks in the damp cellars of Douglas Laing, provides a flavour profile that is ideally suited for enjoying with handmade cheese.

Aroma: Trotz der 48% ist der Dram schön rund, keine stechenden Noten in der Nase. Apfelkompott, etwas Dörrobst (Aprikose?), dann Kuchenteig und etwas Vanille. Nach einigen Minuten dann etwas Tabak und muffiges Leder

Geschmack: Zuerst weich und cremig, getrocknete rote Brombeeren dann aber wieder diese muffige Leder und Holz Noten - insgesamt fehlt etwas die Frucht-süße des Port-Finish - vielleicht ein Dry White Port Fass?

Abgang: kurz bis mittellang, trockene Früchte und Tabakblätter, etwas bitter im Nachklang

Kommentar: Trotz dem Finish in Port-Fässern fehlt etwas die erwartete Süße - trotzdem sehr angenehme trockene Note
da war wohl das Finish im Portcask eher kurz...
