The blended malt Scallywag was created by Douglas Laing. Scallywag, the little rascal, is the fox terrier godfather and the Laing family's favourite dog. It includes whiskies from the Mortlach, Macallan and Glenrothes distilleries. Sherry and bourbon casks were used for the third batch.

Geschmack: Angenehm rund, süss, für mich erinnert es an Marzipan(torte im Café)

Abgang: mittellang und süss Richtung Gebäck

Ein vielschichtiger Blend, der von den jeweiligen Stärken der einzelnen Komponenten lebt, sehr süffig und gefällig aber nicht langweilig

Kommentar: Interessant genug für einen geselligen Abend. Schöner Einsteigerwhisky, allerdings gibt es in dem Preisbereich gute Alternativen (z.B. Deanston).
