Product description
The sugar cane for Profil 107 Rhum is grown in the northern Caribbean terroir of Martinique, where the soils are very challenging and rather poorly developed. The volcanic pumice from Mount Pelée has a sandy clay structure, which makes cultivation difficult. The strong sunlight and low rainfall with a very high daily temperature fluctuation make the conditions even more difficult. The Thieubert land around the distillery has been fully converted to organic farming since 2013 and the distillery has also been certified organic since 2016. The Maison World Cooperage ensures the exclusivity of the American oak barrels with a capacity of less than 650 litres, which allows the barrel aroma and tannin potential to be expressed even better during the maturation period of 12 to 24 months. In 2016, 400-litre barrels were used for the first time to mature the organic rum.

The Rum distillery was founded in 1932 by the Neisson brothers on the Thieubert estate in Le Carbet on the island of Martinique. The Neisson logo, a merchant ship, alludes to the family's beginnings as merchants. read more

Aroma: Vielseitig mit Akzenten Noten von getrockneten Früchten, süßen Vanillenoten und etwas Zitrus mit und dezenten Gewürzen im Hintergrund.

Geschmack: Gewürznoten mit süßer werdenden Facetten von Schokolade, Eiche und Karamell kommen hinzu ehe geröstete Nüsse den langen Abgang einleiten.
