Aroma Aromatic and smoky with spicy accents. A few drops of water reveal strong notes of eucalyptus and menthol, followed by savoury notes of fennel and pine.
Taste Amazingly balanced, with earthy nuances of ground coffee and peat smoke merging with sweet sultanas, subtle vanilla and smoked butter.
Finish Long-lasting with clear smoke, vanilla and fruit flavours.

Ardbeg Anthology - The Beithir's Tale is the third and final bottling in the Anthology series from the famous Islay distillery Ardbeg. The series is known for combining exceptional maturation and innovative cask selection with the typical Ardbeg smoke profile. Each edition tells its own story - inspired by mythical creatures from the Celtic-Scottish legendary world. For this bottling, the whisky was matured for a full 15 years in specially developed designer charred Bourbon casks - heavily toasted and deliberately charred casks made from American white oak. This particularly rare type of cask was conceived with the aim of emphasising flavours such as vanilla, sweetness and spice while at the same time lending new depth to the distinctive Ardbeg smoke profile. Ardbeg has been synonymous with intense, complex Islay whisky since 1815. With The Beithir's Tale, the distillery once again demonstrates its innovative strength and love of experimentation - a must for collectors, fans and anyone looking for an expressive and unusual bottling.
