Why Jack Daniel named his whiskey 'Old No. 7' is a mystery. According to legend, he wanted to use it as a memorial to the 7 most important women in his life. Since 1866, the whiskey has been produced unchanged according to the original recipe and filtered through a 3-metre-thick layer of charcoal. The gift box is in the shape of an American metal letterbox with a small nameplate.

It’s a Whiskey that is produced obeying all the regulations necessary to be called Bourbon - but it’s even more: 1944 Jack Daniel’s achieved the official approval that Tennessee Whiskey is an own classification, characterised by the additional charcoal mellowing called “Lincoln County process”.
