The Macpherson-Grant family has been at home on the Ballindaloch estate since 1546, where whisky has also been produced in the Single Estate Malt Whisky Distillery on the premises since around 1820. In 2016, two years after it began operations, the distillery was even honoured with the Icons of Whisky award, which is given for the preservation of Scottish whisky tradition. This 8-year-old Ballindaloch whisky matured in a single bourbon cask and was bottled exclusively for the German market at 60.8% vol. at cask strength, without chill-filtering and without the addition of colour.
