The Danish Stauning Maple Syrup Finish marks the return of a popular and award-winning whisky from Denmark. Like its predecessor, the rye whisky is limited but is now more readily available due to its popularity. The maturation in casks from the North American state of Vermont, in which sweet, creamy maple syrup was previously stored, gives it notes of vanilla, liquorice and citrus, followed by hints of sourdough, mint and cinnamon. The label is adorned with a drawing by Danish tattoo artist Thit.

Kommentar: Kräuter Kräuter Kräuter...junge junge, das ist mal was ganz anderes...völlig unerwartet trifft einen die ultimative Kräuterladung...dahinter eine richtig krasse und angenehme Süße, Eiche, Gewürze, Karamellnoten...ist das noch Whisky? man weiss es nicht...auf jeden Fall mal was anderes

Geschmack:
Abgang: würzig, klebrig, intensiv nach
Kommentar: Richtig toller Whisky. Ich habe das vorherige Batch (Destilliert im Sommer 2018 und ca. 5 Monate weniger gereift) schon getrunken und mich etwas gewundert wie Stauning den Preis halten konnte, obwohl er 1. beliebt und 2. etwas älter ist - die Antwort macht ihn eigentlich zur Mogelpackung: deutlich weniger Vol.-%. Aber ganz ehrlich? - ich trinke lieber Whiskys unter 50%. Finde den neuen tatsächlich etwas besser :D
