Like all Caol Ila Single Malts, the 25-year-old is lighter and finer than one would expect from an Islay Malt. The 25-year-old flows deeply golden and oily into the nosing glass. Its sweet-spicy aroma with notes of dried fruit and seafood caresses the nose and continues on the palate as a sweet-fruity Taste event with balancing bitter tones and fine malty smokiness.

90/100 Sicherlich ein Whisky der gehobenen Klasse. Perfekt zum Genießen und Entspannen. Wer es jedoch facettenreich und spannend mag, wird hier nicht den gewünschten Clou finden.
Aroma: süßlich-phenolisch, Holzfeuer, Honig, Wachs
Geschmack: weich, süßlich, dann pfeffrig - etwas Wasser intensiviert die Geschmackseindrücke
Abgang: eher trockener, süßlicher Rauch, leicht fruchtig, elegant
