This Single Grain from the Cooper's Collection is the first in a series of annual limited releases by Loch Lomond Master Blender Michael Henry. Distilled from only 100% malted barley and then matured in American oak casks with a finish in Japanese Mizunara casks, the natural flavours of the Single Grain whisky are highlighted. The end result is a smooth Loch Lomond whisky with a fruity floral character, enhanced with rich fragrant spices attributable to the Mizunara oak casks.

Kommentar: I could not really identify the mizunara cask, but this is good value for money.
P.S. mixing it 50/50 with Cutty Sark Prohibition gave a less aggressive, rather interesting taste. 4 stars

Aroma: Rosen, schwarze Johannisbeere und geröstete Eiche.

Geschmack: Süßer Gewürzcharakter mit Apfel, Sandelholz, Honig und Zimt.

Abgang: Trockene, wärmende Eichenwürze.

Kommentar: auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen, hat auch etwas von Rosenwasser, spannend.
