This 18-year-old Old Pulteney has been part of the distillery's standard range since 2019. It was first matured in American white oak casks and then received a post-maturation in fresh Spanish Oloroso sherry casks.

For a long time Pulteney could be called the most northern distillery on the Scottish mainland. When Wolfburn Distillery in Thurso opened in 2013 they took over this title, but Pulteney hasn’t lost its attraction on Whisky lovers. The coastal style of the Old Pulteney Whisky (as the Whiskies from Pulteney are called) is a very unique one and the releases use to be very well judged by the Whisky experts. en savoir plus

Kommentar: Fruchtig, füllig mit einer Spitze Schlehe. Hält lange im Mund, sehr harmonisch

Aroma: Maritim und vielschichtig: Sherry-Süße mit Meersalz, Vanille-Karamell, weichen Früchten und etwas Schokolade.

Geschmack: Fruchtig, sherrylieblich und würzig: Gezuckerte Früchte mit Vanillesoße.

Abgang: Lang. Süßlich, salzig, dunkle Schokolade (daher leicht trocken) Zum Schluss dezente Karamell und Vanille.

Kommentar: Definitiv das Beste vom Kernsortiment. Würze und Geschmack haben das Optimum erreicht! Deswegen volle Punktzahl!
