The Glentauchers belongs to the Un-Chillfiltered Collection by Signatory Vintage. The Speyside whisky was matured in two First Fill Oloroso Sherry Butts, which is rather unusual for the maturation of Single Malts.

The Glentauchers Distillery is situated in the Speyside, just a few miles from Keith at the road to Craigellachie. There’s no visitor center at Glentauchers and this may be one reason why the distillery is not very well known. Geschmack: viel Fass für einen 10er, Leder, sherry, Nüsse, toll

Kommentar: In der Nase süßer und fruchtiger als vom Geschmack her. Überhaupt nicht zu süß, dezente Frucht und Süße sehr würzig mit Pfeffer ,Schokolade. Am Ende Eiche und Zartbitter, langer Abgang.
Der gefällt mir sehr gut, kein junger Nassfassfinish Whisky, sondern Vollreifung. Schmeckt nicht überladen. Die matchige Frucht Süße und die pfeffrige Eiche, typisch Glentauchers. Ich mag das sehr.

Kommentar: Recht guter Whisky, leider kommt der Sherry nicht so hervor wie erhofft.
