Stauning Gin Danish Dry Gin is a classic Danish Dry Gin with an unmistakable West Jutland character. Produced by the renowned Stauning Whisky distillery, this gin is created with the same uncompromising craftsmanship as the company's award-winning whisky. The distillery from Stauning in Denmark stands for regional ingredients, traditional production and the highest quality in a small-batch process. The recipe is deliberately kept clear and straightforward, so it is not surprising that juniper provides the aromatic base and is complemented by coriander seeds, angelica root, orris root, liquorice root and lemon peel. A fine speciality are locally harvested pine shoots from West Jutland, which give the Gin a fresh, resinous and aromatic note and emphasise its Nordic origins. All botanicals are carefully selected and harmonised with each other. The botanicals macerate in raw alcohol for 24 hours before being distilled together in one of the small copper stills heated directly over an open fire. The so-called one-shot process guarantees maximum intensity and authenticity. Only the centrepiece of the distillate is used - the purest and most aromatic part. The Gin is then adjusted to a pleasant drinking strength of 43% by volume with fresh water from Stauning. You can look forward to strong juniper notes that meet citrusy freshness and subtle spicy notes, accompanied by a subtly sweet hint and a pleasantly resinous nuance from the pine shoots.

The Distillery: Stauning
The Stauning Whisky Distillery was founded in 2005 by nine friends in a former butcher's shop on the windswept west coast of Jutland. What began as a shared hobby has developed into one of Scandinavia's best-known Whisky distilleries. Surrounded by fields, moors and heathland, Stauning uses only Danish grain and consistently adheres to the principle of ‘from grain to glass’. Traditional malting floors, 24 direct-fired copper stills and peat and heather smoke give this Danish Whisky its distinctive character.

Geschmack: Vollmundig und ausgewogen. Wacholder steht im Mittelpunkt, begleitet von zitrischer Frische, milder Würze und einem leicht süßlichen Hauch durch die Süßholzwurzel. Die Kiefer verleiht dem Profil Tiefe und eine elegante, nordische Frische.
Abgang: Mittellang bis lang, sauber und harmonisch. Würzige und leicht harzige Noten klingen angenehm nach und hinterlassen einen frischen Gesamteindruck.
