The Tres Hombres rums are named after the famous sailing ship that sails the seas without an engine and seeks out culinary delicacies. This rum from Barbados is one of them. For Edition 65, the English-style rum is distilled on pot and column stills at the famous Foursquare Rum Distillery and first stored in bourbon barrels. Due to the following long crossing from Barbados to Amsterdam, the barrels on board the sailing ship are exposed to additional weather conditions, different temperatures and the sea, which gives the maturation and the rum itself very special, additional flavours and makes it so special. Once in Amsterdam, the 8-year-old rum is then refined in Pedro Ximénez and Calvados barrels.
