Product description

This Single Malt was created for the Tamnavulin distillery's Cask Editions series. The series comprises bottlings that have been supplemented by additional cask maturation in selected wine casks. The aim is to combine the typical flavours of the distillery with the characteristics of different types of cask. The Tamnavulin Port Cask was initially matured in American ex-bourbon casks. It was then matured in used tawny port casks. This second maturation gives the whisky a darker colour as well as additional notes of dried fruit and mild spice. The result is a fruity whisky with a medium body and a slightly sweet flavour. The "Cask Editions" series shows the experimental side of the distillery with exciting cask finishes. Tamnavulin is produced using the traditional Pot Still method with malted barley.
