Product description
Among the whisky regions, Speyside is the most densely populated. Its fertile valleys and, of course, the River Spey set it apart. Speyside whiskies can generally be described as light and fruity, such as Benromach, or rich and sweet, such as a Tamdhu. Apple, pear, honey, vanilla and spice notes characterise the whiskies from the region. In addition, sherry casks are often used for maturation and post-maturation, as is the case with the bottlings from Glen Moray and Mortlach, which we taste in the live tasting. Speyside whiskies tend to be delicately fragrant and balanced and are therefore among the most popular in the world - even among beginners.
