Product description
The 12-year-old Royal Lochnagar has been part of the Classic Malts Selection since 2005. Strong attack combined with a light smokiness and the scent of the sherry casks make it so pleasant and strong. The distillery is located right next to Balmoral Castle, the Scottish castle of the British Queen. Queen Victoria and her German Prince Consort Albert appreciated it very much!

Kommentar: Zunächst macht sich in der Nase ein süßes Gummibärchen-Fruchtaroma breit, nach dem ersten Schluck sind treten auch die Zitrus-,Sherry- und Eichennoten deutlicher hervor.
Auf der Zunge zunächst malzig-süß, dann zunehmend würzig, mit Kakao- und leichten Rauchnoten.
Der Abgang ist überraschend lang, würzig mit zarten Bitteraromen. Punktabzug gibt es für die Kühlfilterung und Färbung, ansonsten bietet diese Abfüllung ein gutes PLV.
