The Bourbon Rebel Yell was created in 1849 at the Stitzel-Weller distillery and marketed under the slogan 'An honest whiskey at an honest price'. The bourbon has been registered as an official trade mark since 1936. Matured for 10 years in a hand-selected oak barrel, the bourbon was bottled for Lux Row Distillers at 50% vol. Lux Row also includes well-known bourbon brands such as Ezra Brooks, Blood Oath and Yellowstone. In future, this bottling will be released annually in a small batch.

Kommentar: Da ist er endlich wieder. Der Rebel ist in dieser Form empfehlenswert. Ein solider Bourbon mit ordentlich Wumms, dank der 50 % ABV. Dennoch ist er im Grunde genommen ein recht einfacher Whiskey. Aroma: typisch Wheat und Bourbon, Geschmack: ordentlich Süß mit ein wenig Alkohol am Ende. Und der Abgang mittel mit herben Noten. Ok, 10 Jahre alt, langer Weg nach Europa..... und dann über 80 Euro? Ist er das Wert? Das muss jeder für sich entscheiden. 3 Sterne für einen soliden US Whiskey. (persönliche Meinung: mehr wie 45 Euro dürfte er nicht kosten)

Abgang: Lang! 10 Jahre für einen Bourbon hinterlassen deutliche Spuren! Viele weiche Früchtekuchen, Karamell, Vanille, Mokka, etc.
Kommentar: Eindeutig der Beste Whisky im Programm von der Rebel-Reihe von Lux Row Distillers! Die anderen mit verschiedenen Nachreifungen, Small Batch, Rye, usw. kommen an diesen 10-Jährigen nicht heran! Der Preis ist hoch, aber Geschmack, Qualität, Intensität und Volumen stimmen so weit ganz gut.
