Kommentar: 3,5 Sternchen für einen recht herben und würzigen Bourbon. Die Süße kommt zwar durch, aber eventuell lag es auch an meiner Tagesform. Anja hat am 7.6.23 den Preis mit ins Spiel gebracht. Und das tue ich nun auch. was in aller Welt rechtfertigt 130 Euro???
Der Geschmack? Ist ja eher individuell, aber sooo Klasse ist er auch nicht. Das Aroma? Ja, man kann ihn lange und gut verriechen, aber rechtfertigt das den Preis? Abgang? Ein würziger herber und schöner Nachklang, ganz bestimmt. Aber auch der rechtfertigt 130 Euro nicht
Für 130 Euro hole ich mir einen Elijah Craig Barrel proof und noch einen netten Wild Turkey Rare breed. Fazit: Für den Geschmack, Aroma, Abgang 3,5 Punkte. Für den Preis...Null Punkte. 70 bis 80 Euro wären angemessen, und dann gäbe es glatte 5 Sternchen

Da ich mich seit seit zwei Jahren quer durch die USA probiere war dieser natürlich ein Must Have. Und er lässt eigentlich keine Wünsche offen, kräftig-kerniger Bourbon, auch wenn er im Geschmack sogar zuerst mit viel süßem Karamell und Vanille kommt. Der Roggen ist stark und bleibt beim langen Abgang mit der Eiche hängen. Ich würde ihm 5 Sterne geben weil er für einen Bourbon (wer es eben kerniger mag in dem Bereich) echt gut ist. Nur der Preis bleibt ein offen gelassener Wunsch, der ist heftig, und im Vergleich mit anderen Top - Bourbons schwer zu rechtfertigen, siehe Eagle Rare 10 y… 4 Sterne dennoch…
