Knockando Master Reserve is the oldest regularly available vintage bottling of the Speyside distillery. Special casks with smaller runs are used for this. The 21 years of maturation result in an exceptionally deep and smooth Single Malt.

The distillery was founded in 1898 by John Thompson, and administered by the Knockando-Glenlivet Distillery Company. The acclaimed Whisky architect Charles Doig designed the site. The name of the distillery comes from the Gaelic 'Cnoc-an-dhu', meaning 'little black hill', quite probably an homage to the hills in-between which the site is located. read more

Für einen 21 Jährigen Malt ist der Preis unschlagbar, auch wenn er auch hier leider etwas angezogen hat.
Zum Ende hin wird er etwas schwach, aber Nase und Mund finde ich sehr ansprechend
