The 14-year-old Inchgower was bottled by Diageo. Under the Flora & Fauna Series, the owner bottles selected casks from a few distilleries, each individually as a Single Malt. The Flora & Fauna series is a true enrichment of the whisky scene and is regarded by collectors as an original bottling if there are no other original bottlings.

Inchgower was built in 1871 by Alexander Wilson & Company to replace the Tochineal distillery. The original equipment from Tochineal was even used in the establishment of the site.

Kommentar: mein erster inchgower. der whisky gefällt mir. ich kenne bis auf die 10-J-alten Whiskys der F&F-Serie alle und der hier ist mit seinem etwas maritimem charakter eine echte bereicherung. lässt sich gut und einfach trinken, echter sipper dank der 43% (aber 46-48% würden dem bestimmt noch besser stehen - wie wohl allen der F&F-Serie). PLV in Ordnung, für damals 40-45€ im angebot ein echt guter deal, aber auch so macht man nichts falsch - gerade wenn man sich an maritime Noten herantasten möchte.
