Taste Mild, complex and pleasantly sweet with fine accents of butter biscuits, orange syrup and spicy facets. Honey notes, nutmeg and aniseed follow.

Product description
Glenmorangie The Nectar is the successor to the popular Glenmorangie Nectar d'or, which has a new cask composition as well as an age statement. The new version of the Single Malt Whisky is matured for a total of 16 years and finished in various wine casks, including Sauternes and Monbazillac from France, Moscatel from Spain and Tokaji from Hungary. The design of the bottle and outer packaging has also been revised and is now based on the style of the Glenmorangie core range.

Kommentar: In der Nase komplex, die Weinfässer machen sich bemerkbar, aber auch schon eine deutliche Würze. Auf der Zunge dann Honigsüße, weiter mit der Gewürznote. Abgang dann mit Eiche dazu. Wirklich sehr gelungen, angenehm trotz Würze und Komplexität!

Kommentar: unverdünnt deutlich kraftvoller, als die 46% erahnen lassen. fühlt sich fast etwas an wie der talisker "chili catch" - ich verdünne ihn gern mit ein paar tropfen wasser. dann ist es ein ausgezeichneter, weicher whisky. insgesamt habe ich schon rundere getrunken, auch in ähnlichen preisklassen. die süße im abgang ist aber wirklich langanhaltend und deutlich, ohne penetrant zu werden. hier kommt der orangensirup merklich durch
