Glenlivet French Oak is matured in French oak barrels in addition to bourbon barrels. The fresh Limousin oak barrels from the Dordogne are also used in the maturation of Cognac. The spirits giant Pernod Ricard, owner of Glenlivet, has excellent connections to French cask makers through its cognac range and uses the same casks for this bottling.
