Product description
The Selección de Familia from Botucal (also known as Ron Diplomatico) extends the traditional range of the Venezuelan company with a premium rum. Destilerías Unidas marries three different distillates made from virgin sugar cane honey and sugar cane molasses. The sugar cane molasses is distilled in a Barbet Column Still to produce a light rum, a steam boiler processes Virgin Sugar Cane Honey into a medium-bodied rum and a copper pot still turns Virgin Sugar Cane Honey into a heavy rum. 90% of the heavy rum is combined with 5% of the light rum and 5% of the medium rum and bottled at 43% vol. The result is a rum characterised by honey and red fruits with a gentle vanilla note.
