Product description
The 4th edition of this Millstone whisky was matured for 8 years in a first fill Moscatel butt and selected exclusively by a German importer in the Dutch Windmills Collection series for the German market. The Zuidam distillery, which produces Millstone, was founded in 1975 by Fred van Zuidam. As the malted barley for this whisky is milled by windmills, as was customary in the past, the Single Malt Whisky was christened Millstone. It is double distilled in copper Pot Still stills. The single cask was bottled at natural cask strength without the addition of colour, without chill-filtering and in a limited edition. The Dutch Windmills Collection is dedicated to the characteristic windmills in Holland and is highlighted by a drawing by Dutch artist Maurits Cornelis Escher on the packaging and bottle label.

The Distillery: Zuidam
The Zuidam Distillery is one of the most important independent distilleries in the Netherlands. Since its foundation in 1975 by Fred van Zuidam, the family business has stood for craftsmanship, natural ingredients and an uncompromising philosophy of quality. In Baarle-Nassau, near the Belgian border, award-winning Whiskies, Genever, Gins, Rums and Liqueurs are produced under one roof – all traditionally handcrafted. With Millstone Whisky, the first Dutch Single Malt, Zuidam has set an international milestone and proven that outstanding Whisky does not only have to come from Scotland.
