In 1812, Elijah Pepper fulfilled his dream by founding the Woodford Reserve Distillery: to produce the highest quality bourbon in the world in the heart of Kentucky. The distillery's geographical location and importance made it a historical landmark that even the shutdown during Prohibition could not harm. Since 1994, the finest Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey has once again been produced on the premises.

Making Woodford Reserve's flavourful whiskeys isn't easy. To make the best bourbon in the world, everything has to be right: From the basic ingredients to the fermentation and distillation process to the maturation. Our Master Distiller team consisting of Chris Morris and Elizabeth McCall make sure that every single bottle of our whiskeys meets the highest standards.

The best ingredients for the best taste

No good whiskey without the right ingredients. Fresh spring water from Glenn Creek and a balanced grain bill of corn, rye and barley malt provide the high-quality basis for our spectacular bourbon. For our whiskey to develop its more than 200 flavours, traditional yeast fermentation, triple pot still and column distillation and maturation in specially made American white oak barrels come together.

Woodford Reserve Kentucky Straight Bourbon

The heart of our varied whiskey collection. The hard work of our master distillers, decades of experience and perfectly coordinated production processes result in more than just a bourbon - a real firework of flavours with more than 200 aromas. Distinct vanilla aroma with hints of mint, cocoa, fruit, toffee and black pepper.

Woodford Reserve Double Oaked

After its first barrel maturation, this special bourbon is filled a second time into a new white oak barrel that is toasted longer but burnt out for a shorter time. The result: A full-bodied, mild mix of vanilla, dark caramel and hazelnut with flavours of dark fruits, tart honey, marzipan and oak smoke.

Woodford Reserve Rye Whiskey

A higher proportion of rye gives this whiskey a strong, spicy character with a long, sweet and spicy finish. Peppery aroma with cedar, cinnamon and rye, plus notes of apple, pear, mint, honey and almond.

Woodford Reserve Malt Whiskey

Made from 51% malted barley, matured in new charred white oak casks: An American, complex malt for bourbon connoisseurs. Multi-layered fruit character meets nutty notes, toasted oak, caramel, cloves, cinnamon and nutmeg.
