Thy Single Malt is made from 100% barley, which is grown, malted and distilled by the farm distillery itself. The whisky is matured in bourbon, Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. The Gyrup family estate is home to the distillery, which is located on its own organic farm. All the grains for the production of the whiskies are grown there and there is enough space in their own malt house to produce organic malt for a number of other Danish and international breweries and distilleries. Thy is an idyllic place in the north-west of Denmark, whose landscape and terroir characterise the distillery's bottlings from the field to the bottle.
