At the Springbank distillery in Campbeltown, the entire whisky production process, from growing the barley to bottling, is carried out by hand and on site. This traditional production method means that Springbank can only produce limited quantities. This malt matured for 21 long years in four specially selected cask types: 65% rested in port casks, 25% in bourbon casks, 5% in rum casks and a further 5% in sherry casks. This composition made the single malt a full-bodied and creamy whisky with a pleasant maritime flavour.

Aroma: Stauholzlager, alte Bibliotheksbücher, Leder, Melassesirup und Zimtnoten bilden den Auftakt dieses reichhaltigen Drams.
Geschmack: Zähflüssig und dick, mit Anklängen von dunklen Früchten, Spundtuch und Datteln, mit einem Hauch von Gewürzen und Torfrauch.
Abgang: Lang und anhaltend mit Facetten von gesalzenem Karamell, Toffee und einer erneuten, subtilen Torfrauchnote.
