Created exclusively for the German market, the Secret Speyside whisky was matured for 15 years in first fill Oloroso sherry butts by independent bottler Murray McDavid. The type of maturation is characteristic of the mysterious, unnamed distillery of origin, which some whisky enthusiasts like to associate with a piglet. Hence the little pig on the lovingly designed label. The Single Malt itself is a very Christmassy drop that has been able to deepen its flavours in Oloroso sherry casks.

Kommentar: Wenn man ihm Zeit gibt wird man mit tollem Aroma nach Sherry, Schokolade belohnt. Aber auch ein wenig Alkohol schwingt mit. Im Mund auch sehr kräftig, wieder Sherry, Schokolade, Süße und Würze.
Starke Gewürze im Abgang, Pfeffer. Eiche und dunkle Schokolade. Herber Abgang. Wieder leicht sprittig das ist auch das einzig störende an dem Malt. PLV ist natürlich super.

Kommentar: Schöner Whisky mit duftender fruchtig-karamellisierter Aromatik. Ich finde den Alkohol wunderbar eingebunden und kaum spürbar, dies wiederum macht ihn sehr süffig
