This Single Grain comes from the Loch Lomond distillery and was matured in American oak casks. It has been certified organic by the Soil Association. Grain whisky has a softer and lighter Taste than Single Malt.

Loch Lomond is located in the Scottish town of Alexandria, directly on the lake of the same name. Hardly any other distillery in Scotland deserves the title 'unique' as much as Loch Lomond. The distillery has not only pot stills, but also Coffey and Column stills. This allows the production of many different types of Whisky.

Aroma: Malzige Süße mit Äpfeln, Zitrusfrüchten und Biskuit.

Aroma: sehr fruchtig nach Äpfeln und Zitrus dazu eine feine Vanille-Karamell süße
Geschmack: Ein wenig Frucht und Vanille, etwas Würze und eine leichte pfeffrige Schärfe. Eine sprittige Note wie vom Korn kommt durch aber er ist trotzdem recht mild für 46 % vol. Es war mein erster Grain-Whisky-Test und mir fehlt leider die Tiefe und Komplexität wie beim Single Malt.
Abgang: eher kurz und unspektakulär, eine alkoholische Note bleibt mit etwas Frucht
